Each year, the Dave Kapral Memorial Tournament is held in Pennsauken, PA to celebrate the spirit in which Dave Kapral lived his life, helping young adults achieve their life ambitions through the sport of ice hockey, and to promote and foster the values instilled in him by his family.

In 2017, Polaris, the leader in Life Sciences compliance technology and consulting, was the proud sponsor of the Protec Ducks Mites team for the tournament. This team featured Polaris Senior Partner Marc Eigner’s son Brendon as goaltender, and his identical twin Brandon as defenseman. Marc also coached the team. The team finished in second place in their division, and all the players enjoyed their custom Polaris logoed jerseys.

Each year, at the conclusion of the tournament, two $1000 scholarships are awarded. One scholarship is awarded to a current Father Judge and/or Blazers hockey player participating in the 2017 Tournament, and a second is given to a player participating in this year’s Tournament.
