As Polaris’ Global HR Director, Gretchen is in charge of all of our people-related matters. She works closely with the rest of the leadership team to focus on “What’s Next?” for our current and future staff. Recently, she has been overseeing the company’s impressive worldwide expansion, including the United States offices (New York, New Brunswick, Boston and San Francisco), as well as Europe and Asia-Pacific.
One of Gretchen’s main objectives is to ensure that Polaris has the best talent, by providing competitive pay and benefits, significant development opportunities, and fostering our confident, focused, inclusive and energetic company culture. Candidates go through a three round interview process enabling them to get to know Polaris better while we are assessing their fit. Once hired, new employees are assigned a Career Manager, who work together with each employee to help them develop a personalized development plan – helping each person navigate and grow throughout their career.
Prior to joining Polaris, Gretchen worked as the HR Manager for a non-profit credit counseling organization in Boston, and as the HR & Communications Specialist for a boutique consulting firm in Rochester, NY. She holds an MS in Human Resource Development, a BA in Communication, and is a certified Sr. Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).Back to About Us
