Following up on our recent blog post regarding French transparency report template revisions, as expected, the French Ministry of Health released a new decree adding companies that produce or market veterinary medicinal products to the scope of the reporting.
On January 28th 2017, the Ministry announced the details of the decree. Veterinarian companies will be required to report all benefits and agreements they have with veterinarians, pharmacists, associations of pharmacists and students destined for the professions of veterinary or pharmacist.
All organizations already covered by the current regulation will be considered recipients for veterinarian companies as well.
This decree will take effect on July 1st 2017 with a first reporting date of September 1st, 2017 (on data from January-June 2017).
