This announcement from the Vermont Attorney General’s Office: manufacturers of biologics and medical devices based in the state will be granted a one-time penalty limit of a $10,000 payment per reporting period for not meeting certain disclosure reporting deadlines. The current penalty in Vermont is $10,000 per violation.

The offer by the Vermont AG office specifically addresses:

  • failure to satisfy Vermont’s annual disclosure requirements from July 1, 2009-December 31, 2012
  • anticipated failure of satisfying reporting requirements for calendar year 2013.

The one-time penalty limit does not cover the Vermont Gift Ban. Companies have until May 1st of this year to take advantage of this offer and here are additional instructions for applying here.
